Women and Children, specially those from weaker sections are deprived of formal education in general. They do not have many opportunities to study Samskrit. Students from such background who opt for studying Samskrit face many problems in getting appropriate help.
Parents of these students are not able to help them with Samskrit at home. Also they do not have the financial power to provide quality Samskrit Education. In many schools, other subject teachers like Hindi or English teach Samskrit also. Hence students are denied exposure to quality education in Samskrit. The interest in studying Samskrit can be sustained only by presenting quality Teachers with appropriate aids and methods.
Dr. Ambedkar, a Samskrit Scholar himself, had asked the weaker sections to study Samskrit to become strong. Great visionaries like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Ambedkar, Dr. S.Radhakrishnan, Sri Aurobindo, Swami Vivekananda etc., had said that Samskrit has the ability to uplift people and give them the power to face the suppression and enable them to lead a purposeful life.
SPF had adopted modern techniques to teach Samskrit and got very good results. SPF proposes to conduct Study Centres for the benefit of Women and Children from the Socially and Economically Weaker Sections of the Society. By studying Samskrit, the student not only scores in the subject in school but in their life as well. Acquiring knowledge in Samskrit will put them in the forefront in the knowledge driven globe. They will acquire confidence to compete with others. By empowering these sections with knowledge in Samskrit, SPF will provide a lifelong friend, philosopher and guide. Non formal education is one of the best ways to reach such sections of society. This scheme will take the education to their door steps, very near their domicile. Samskrit belongs to all and SPF is trying to fulfill the rights of these sections to get access to the knowledge treasure. When a mother is taught, the entire family is benefited; and no doubt, it benefits subsequent generations too.
